Hemming
Hemming
HEMMING (Candice Martello) is an acoustic singer-songwriter hailing from Philadelphia, PA. Her high-voltage vocals and folk-influenced songs have stood out from the crowd as a performer in the thriving Philadelphia music scene, having played the stage at well-known venues throughout the city. With a family deep rooted in music, It’s no wonder she has befriended every instrument she meets. Playing guitar at just 9 years old, and writing her first song at 13, her fascination with music took off very young.

After graduating from Drexel University, Hemming continued developing her sound and influence as a solo performer to the backdrop of the artist community in West Philadelphia, and as a member of Omar, the two-piece punk band she formed with close friend Nick Fanelli. While a part of Make or Break: The Linda Perry Project, she was praised for her talent as a solo artist, and split from Omar to further develop her own sound.

With musical influences including Cat Power, Metric, M. Ward, and Alanis Morisette; she is inspired by the power of raw emotion, experience, and simplicity. Hemming's rhythmic, folksy, room-splitting croon leaves produces a haunting experience for her audience. And with the honesty of her music, as she bares down to a song’s meat and bones, it is undeniably clear that tugging her audience’s heart strings is what she aims for.

THE DOVE & THE WOLF is paloma and lou, two girls raised on opposite sides of the atlantic ocean; one in paris and the other on the french caribbean island of martinique. they started playing together in 2004 and formed this project in 2012. Six months after creating the band, they released a first EP (self-produced and self-distributed) that caught the attention of the new york times, earning them a full page in t magazine that praised: "a four-song collection of spare but soaring harmonies".
just back from a 7 week long north american tour, opening for their big sister rachael yamagata, they are moving to the US and working on their first full length album to be released in 2015.
their music is where crosby, stills & nash and air meet a feminine tenor.
Anjuli Josephine
Anjuli Josephine's voice blends delicate singer songwriter/folk tones with powerful blues and jazz melodies, all while maintaing pop sensibility. The band has an obvious indie rock influence, but also references soul, classic rock, blues, and even bossa nova. The result is a sound that can be dark and brooding, but sometimes light and poppy.
